We are so excited you’re here. Below are some frequently asked questions and some helpful guidelines for current and prospective growers, buyers, and supporters.

ABOUT US, MEMBERSHIP, & JOINING THE COLLECTIVE

  • Founded in 2022, the New Mexico Flower Collective (NMFC) offers a diverse selection of New Mexico-grown flowers and foliage to floral designers, event professionals, wholesalers, and flower enthusiasts in the southwest region. Through the growth and expansion of our collective, we give local flower farmers new opportunities to share, market, and sell their flowers to the local community.

  • The New Mexico Flower Collective is managed by a Board of Directors made up of four flower farmers.

    The flower market is managed by our manager, Heather Esqueda. Please direct all inquiries to manager@nmflowercollective.com.

  • We are passionate about growing the New Mexico fresh flower industry and encourage all flower farmers and interested buyers to reach out. We have an application and approval process for prospective growers and buyers, and offer 3 types of membership.

    Grower
    This membership is for New Mexico-based flower farmers and growers with a current business license. Prospective growers must submit an application to begin the membership process— once your application is received a board member will reach reach out with the next steps. Please note: we do have quality controls and weekly deadlines that must be met. Growers must also create a Rooted Farmers’ account upon approval.

    Wholesale Buyer
    This membership is for event planners/event designer, floral designer/florists, retailers, wholesale Rooted Farmers’ account rs, hotel or hospitality groups, grocery stores, and restaurants/cafes/coffee shops with a valid business license are welcome to join. Please note: upon application approval, wholesale buyers must create a Rooted Farmers’ account to place all pre-orders .

    Bloom Pass
    DIY brides, hosts, and flower enthusiasts can submit an application to shop our market every Wednesday 11 AM - 1 PM beginning in July. Please note: the Bloom Pass does not require a business license. Approved applicants can specify their preferred market day in their application, and will need to purchase a $25 nonrefundable Bloom Pass.

  • Becoming a NMFC grower for the 2023 market season is free. There will be transaction fees for both growers and buyers. Beginning in January 2024 there will be a membership fee for new and returning growers.

    Bloom Pass members have a non-refundable $25 fee.

  • All flowers are sold in 5 or 10-stem bunch quantities. All prices are listed on Rooted Farmers. Prices are based on current market standards.

ROOTED FARMERS, PRE-ORDERS, & MARKETS

  • Rooted Farmers is the NMFC’s online Point of Sale and pre-ordering platform. All pre-orders must be placed via your Rooted Farmers’ account. Please note: Rooted Farmers is a separate entity from NMFC and provides the software we use to operate a robust pre-order system. All technical questions regarding your Rooted account should be directed to help@rootedfarmers.com.

  • Once a wholesale buyer is approved, they will need to create a new Rooted Farmers’ account or log in to their existing account every week during the designated pre-order to view flower and foliage availability from every Grower in the Collective.

    Buyers will have access to available inventory for that week, and can search by item or farm, organize by color, flower type, etc.. Simply add items to your cart like you would any other online order. Items will remain in your cart for 1 hour.

    Orders placed from Monday to Sunday can be picked up on the following Wednesday or can be selected for delivery on Tuesday ( Santa Fe ONLY) or Wednesday ( Albuquerque/Rio Rancho ONLY; May-November).

    Once a Bloom Pass application is approved, buyers will specify and confirm their preferred market day. The market is open to Bloom Pass buyers on Wednesdays between 11 AM and 1 PM. Please note: Bloom Pass buyers do not need to create a Rooted Farmers account or place a pre-order.

  • It is important for wholesale buyers to upload their credit card details to your Rooted Farmers’ account. This is the card that will be charged when you pick up your orders. We will be asking for the last four numbers of the card you upload to your account in order to ring up any additional market floor purchases.

    THE CARD ON FILE WILL BE CHARGED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF YOUR PICK-UP. You can find an itemized breakdown of your purchases each week under the Fulfilled Orders tab of your account.

  • Orders placed for pick-up will be organized and ready for you on Wednesday. You are welcome to shop the market floor when you pick up your pre-order as we will always have inspiring items available to add on to your pre-order.

  • The NMFC market is open every Wednesday.

    Wholesale buyers can shop 9 AM - 1 PM and Bloom Pass buyers can shop 11 AM - 1 PM.

  • Our market is located in Albuquerque, NM. Once an applicant is approved, we will send the location, address, and pertinent details.

  • For any questions regarding your order, please email us manager@nmflowercollective.com. To help simplify the ordering process, please do not reach out to farmers or growers about your order.

  • We have a $100 order minimum for all Bloom Pass buyers.

    All fees for wholesale buyers are waived for the 2023 market season.

  • We ask that buyers bring their own buckets.

    Please note: If any NMFC buckets need to be left behind at your location during a delivery, you will be charged a per bucket fee to your weekly order.

DELIVERY, RETURNS, & EXCHANGES

  • You have the option to select delivery when you place your pre-order on Rooted Farmers every week. Please note: all deliveries require a $100 order minimum. We charge a $25 delivery fee within the Albuquerque city limits and $35 to Santa Fe.

    Delivery hours are as follows: Tuesday, 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM to Santa Fe
    Wednesday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM delivery to Albuquerque & Rio Rancho

    For your first delivery, we will confirm your address and any special instructions. Our drivers will call when they are within 15 minutes of your location. All deliveries require a signature and orders will need to be transferred into personal buckets.

    If any NMFC buckets need to be left behind at your location, you will be charged a per bucket fee to your weekly order.

  • We ask that all buyers shop carefully on Rooted Farmers and in the market. We are unable to offer refunds for pre-orders or day-of purchases, unless there is a quality issue.

    Please note: We do not offer refunds if the grower mistakenly used the wrong botanical name on Rooted Farmers. As long as the photos match the item you receive, you are required to keep it. Items added onto a delivery by market staff at your request are non-refundable.

  • Unfortunately we do not offer exchanges unless:

    -You may trade in an item you ordered by mistake for a similarly priced item from the same grower.

    -If the item you received had an incorrect photo on Rooted Farmers and you cannot use the item, you may trade it for an item from the same grower or receive a refund.

    Please note: if a grower mistakenly uses the wrong botanical name on Rooted Farmers, but the photos match the item you receive, you are required to keep it.

    Items added onto a delivery by market staff at your request are non-refundable.
